mujer del sol
Mujer del Sol is an interdisciplinary installation and narrative body of work that traces the emotional and spiritual evolution of selfhood from childhood to womanhood. Rooted in personal mythology, the piece reflects on early religious indoctrination and the long process of unraveling inherited belief systems in search of self-authored truths—an experience that has existed simultaneously as both blessing and wound. Through poetic fragments, ritual gesture, talismanic objects, sound, and elemental symbolism, the work moves through the turbulence of girlhood, grief, devotion, memory, and transformation, ultimately becoming a meditation on the relationship between the self, the body, and the natural world. At its core, the piece is an attempt to reconnect with the earth as both witness and guide, reflecting the ongoing journey toward inner belonging.
The work incorporates all four elements—earth, air, fire, and water—as emotional and spiritual languages within the installation, while alchemy functions as the central framework through which the piece unfolds. Throughout the work, the shadow self is not treated as something to be hidden or overcome, but rather transmuted into wisdom, tenderness, and power. Existing somewhere between archive, ritual, and dreamscape, Mujer del Sol becomes a talisman of the deepest kind—an embodied reflection on survival, inheritance, devotion, and the sacred act of becoming.
Mujer del Sol is an ongoing body of work currently in development, with its installation and immersive elements continuing to evolve as part of the artist’s long-term exploration of alchemy, memory, and transformation.
